Midwifery Care
Our two certified nurse-midwives, Richele Thompson and Olivia Brewer, are health care providers with a Master's Degree in Nursing and dual certifications in Women's Health and Nurse-Midwifery, who specialize in low risk prenatal care, vaginal birth, family planning, menstrual disorders, menopause and other gynecological needs. They can prescribe medications and order diagnostic procedures when appropriate and medically indicated. Our Midwives provide access to a host of pain relief options in labor, including massage, relaxation, sterile water papules, use of a tub, water births and epidural anesthesia if desired. In addition, they offer on-going labor support for mothers who desire natural childbirth.
Our certified nurse-midwives work closely with Dr. Sherock to provide ongoing collaborative care.
